Backlit keyboard would take it to another level. Theres just something very awesome about the backlit keyboards. I dont need to look at the keys to type, I just like the esthetics of it all. I would also like to see current gen processors in a current gen model. The last thing that I could ask for would be edge to edge display with zero bezel around the display and trim up around the keyboard. Thats all extra bulk as far as Im concerned.

I don't buy it. What a nightmare that would be if just touching that area of the iPod took you back to the home screen. (Even the MacBook trackpads require a physical 'click' in order to register.) This would be a usability disaster.

Who cares about Expose. Give me Multi-Touch Gesturing like I have on iPad 2. 4-5 finger swipe accross apps, 4-5 finger swipe up to show the mult-tasking pane; 4-5 finger pinch-close to get to the home screen........What can beat that??????

Actually, I just wanted to point out to everyone that the G4 uses a 167 MHz FSB, and the new G3 is CAPABLE of a 200 MHz FSB. The P4s use a Quad pumped 133 FSB (533 effective, kinda). I was thinking could Arn not give out a paid subscription to the forums for a year say when you hit milestones of 250,000 points or so?
Budget is around AUS$800-1000, and I will be getting most of the parts in 3 to 4 months unless there is new tech coming not to long after it?

it depends if you want to go intel or amd. also, you have to consider that the new GPU client is coming eventually, which should help ATI video cards greatly

that's exactly what i was wondering about! i don't know if EU regulations apply to the ipad, but they certainly do apply to the iphone. and i think, apple has to include a miniUSB port (standardized charger) to the iphone 5 if they want to sell it here in europe. a simply dock connector just won't do.

From my experience, it's the Finder that's slow, not iDisk. I access my iDisk (the few times I need to) from Transmit and it is very fast.

We're not talking about racism coming from the government, which is predominantly white in the US. We're talking about, for example, say black people are dining in a restaurant, and they have an issue with white people. "Networking" in Windows CAN be hard. Because it provides a lot of flexibility and versatility. While MS does try to make "Home Networking" user friendly, I'm afraid I wouldn't say it's completely intuitive. But it's mostly because ppl don't RTFM! In this day, the internet has so many "guides" that it should not need a person with half a brain. Google is a really neat word ppl should learn. If they don't know about it by some chance...its in the dictionary! No joke!!!
Apple on the other hand, realizes this about some ppl who are "un-helpable" so their motto is to "dumb down the interface" so that ppl with 1/4 a brain can do many "computer tasks". But this doesn't really make a difference to ppl who require "powerful" networking, which includes all indirect benefits found in Windows...prolly grown since the intro of Windows NT. And that's why Windows has been the primary choice for industry. Not just your "word processing station" as well as evidently, the "server arena", but also as an interface to control machines from cash registers to robotic chained automation assembly lines that makes the actual computers!...including macs and iPhones! :p

A mistake? Unless I'm mistaken, when the 40GB PS3 was released, it was $399, and the 80GB version was $499. At least, those were the normal prices when I bought my 40GB.

What will the future of air travel holds?
1. Boomless supersonic jet (NYC to LAX in 2.5 hours).
2. inexpensive jetblue/southwest flight in continent, price point $200 round trip, todays money of course
3. weight/bag restriction to increase fuel economy-saving us money
4. packing sardines even tighter allowing more seats (I hope this will not come to pass).
5. computer/machine pilot (yes, they can handle landing and take-off)--eliminating overpaid pilots and terrorism too
6. no food service (don't worry no one will starve to death, we are in a middle of a obesity epidemic for god sake)- saving weight and money
7. reduce flight attendance by at least 50% (no food see above), and add a "useful" security guard to control rowdy passenger - saving us money
If you can't reduce the weight of a LCD or OLED or whatever screen, don't add it to every seats. I think the future is clear and it looks like it will diverge into two paths. 1) basic travel that allows people to do it more frequently or 2) travel in comfort and pay more thus less frequent travel. I'm not talking about first class travel here.
Think about it, wouldn't you want to travel anywhere in the US more frequently say 7+ times a year, or 1 or 2 times a year and have all the amenities (meal, iPod, movies and overpaid pilots)?
Tune in your fear and imagine the possibility with me:D
