You obviously haven't been introduced to the evils of farmville and similar facebook apps.
You know you can block applications from posting on your wall and news feed. That might help.

I don't need it having access to my phone (yeah, you say it won't... but this is Facebook... do you really trust them that much? Facebook is very sleezy and does everything possible in loopholes to get your information like changing settings and not telling people that they need to change their settings to *keep* their privacy settings *the same*. I'd say they are far worse than Google which people freak out about).
While I'm totally addicted to Facebook I admit, I trust them as far as I can throw my car.

I routinely hack into your dual G5 and make sure that you get lots of Tinkers. This way I don't feel like I'm hindering the effort but I can still cripple you...:D

Isn't that the IP of Quadra840? I already crippled him by shutting down his power once in a while. He was getting to close. And about those Stinkers, My normal production output is at 300, but with all these Stinkers I'm lucky if my average is 200 a day. We should all complain by Stanford, maybe we can do something about it and get a bit more gromacs.

I have a job, I take care of my family, I pay my bills, I'm not slicing co-eds' throats in the middle of the night, I'm not selling guns to Middle Eastern nutballs -- so at what point does the Holier-Than-Me crowd take me off its speed-dial? They say it's all about Personal Responsibility and yet when I achieve my Decent Member Of Society Merit Badge, they're still telling me how to live, and more to the point, what my wife does with her body.

So the fact that AT&T can currently know everything about you from miles away is ok, but if they add a chip that works for 30 or 40 feet...that's a problem?

Since the other thread was closed, i decided to reply to your ignorance in this thread. I hope you realize how ignorant you sound. Who the hell are you to judge my choices and decide i've made poor choices? Do you know my circumstances? No. Maybe i live in my parents house, maybe i don't go to a university but a community college instead. No dorms at community colleges. I live 20 minutes away from it. Hey!
I'm a new freelance photographer (just upgraded to a Canon 7D) and I was hoping to take some photos of the iPad 2 launch at the Apple Retail Store in Glasgow, Scotland on Friday 25th March.
I have seen one or two photographers there before for previous launches so there must be some interest by the newspapers/magazines.
I am prepared to do this for free as it would at least get my name out there, however I was wanting to contact the newspapers and magazines first to see if I could get their permission to cover the event for them. This could perhaps get me a pass to take photos inside the Apple Store too.
If all else fails, Ill turn up, take some photos outside (which is a public place) and email them in to the newspapers/magazines.
What I'm wondering is how do I contact them in the first place? Either to ask if they would like me to cover the launch for them or to submit photos to them after the event.
Any help would be much apprenticed.

My impression is that Apple does not want to tell you what to watch on your iPhone. ... They don't want it to be known for pornography. ... Another important thing to consider is that in today's world it doesn't take much for a media frenzy to develop if your product is linked to some kind of sensational crime or scandal.....

This is to be expected. Apple sold 680x0 Macs right into mid-1996, but support for the chip was even disappearing from mainstream stuff like Netscape by 1998.
