Runs perfectly with high (not ultra) settings at 2560x1440 on my i7 iMac.
I'm kind of disappointed that the most powerful non-professional mac computer (ie. not Mac Pro) right now can't handle the Ultra setting at native resolution on a game that is known to be not be very graphic intensive. Lowering the resolution for me is unacceptable as it really degrades the quality of the image.
The best gpu you can get on an imac right now is the ATI mobility 4850... and only the 512 MB version to boot. ATI has had a full line of 5XXX mobility cards out for a while now I kind of wish Apple would offer a current generation card as an option.
If Apple wants to get serious about gaming they need to fill the huge void in their product line. No one wants to pay $3K for a Mac Pro with Xeon processors and over priced generation-old graphics cards to run games slower than a cheaper PC. I don't really like the screen of the imac, the mac mini is way underpowered for games and so are all the laptops since they too have mobility gpus.
I'm just 'some guy' and maybe I don't have the "holy vision" of Apple but what I do know is that if they released a new machine in the Mac Pro case, with an i7 processor and current generation gpu I would buy it immediately. I can't be the only one that thinks this way.
As it stands, I'm either going to build a hackintosh or just stay with Windows.

One possibility is that they could go to a 3.7" and still keep the 960x640 resolution. This would allow for a larger screen and it could still maintain it's "retina" display at ~311 pixels per inch (if I did my math right :o). I'm sure they could tweak some apps like Safari to take advantage of the larger screen size (without breaking 3rd party apps that are already built for the 960x640 resolution).

I hate to say this but, Intel really designed a good chip. The P4 still has alot of life in it even though the P5 is going to be introduced in 2nd QTR of 2003. The G4 either has to step aside for the Power4 or really get it's act together.

Remember a US Gallon is different than a UK one. So it's closer to �5 or around $8. Still awfully high, but not quite as bad as some make out.

I'm sure that this works for a lot of people, but not me.
I travel frequently in the Adirondacks where there NO AT&T service, not even Edge. The whole concept of the ADK region is for it to remain pristine forest and mountain, unspoiled by cell towers. That concept isn't going to change without a NYS Constitutional Amendment, and that is not going to happen in our lifetime.
I think the whole point of having GPS on the iPhone is to be able to get maps as needed. Garmin is missed the boat.

I'd actually pay a little extra to get Lion on a read-only USB drive. I've had to reinstall SL a few times (new computers, testing, new hard drive, etc) and reinstalling (heck, even booting) from optical media is painfully slow.

Friday is usually the miscellaneous sessions day, when the less important (or popular I might say) sessions are held. Of course you can leave whenever you want but Friday is still a full day. I would plan on staying the entire day if you can. Leaving Saturday morning is best as you can relax on Friday :)
Last year, in the original schedule, all sessions on Friday ended before lunch and lunch was the last item on the schedule. During the week, they added a couple of repeat sessions in the first slot after lunch. But, still, all sessions were over by 3PM.
I don't expect Apple to post the full schedule 'till a couple weeks before the conference. (I agree it would be nice if they posted it sooner.)

noone seems to be happy Apple is bringing in employees from even microsoft. But dont ya think this is kinda a real sign of the dominance Apple is starting to have.
Also maybe Apple has managed to pick out the small piece of talent microsoft had? haha the new strategy will be steal all the good employees, much cheaper than buying them out.

Hasn't Apple always been known for producing systems usable by the Everyman? Whereas the ubermenschen were off using UNIX systems at first, followed by Linux, Apple computers have always appealed to those who wanted to pick up a computer and start working, without technology getting in the way, at least since the Macintosh...

So, if it is thought that an ethnic minority would actually do a job worse, because of other people's discrimination, then ethnicity technically would make a difference to their ability to do a job.
