In my particular case, they filed for H1B transfer in Premium Processing.... So, I was told that the H1B transfer will be adjudicated prior to the L2 petition..... Eventually, the H1B transfer got denied and I got the L2 approval notice a couple of weeks down the line.
I also believe that you can file for the L2 COS immediately after you come to know that your H1B petition has been denied. An attorney would be able to comment on whether this is legal or not.

I took a new job and transferred my H1B with new employer. But my GC process is with the same old employer and his attorney. Do I now have to file AC21 ? I changed my job with new responsibilities.
It is your choice if you want to invoke AC21 or not. A lot of people (like me) do not inform USCIS and change job after 180 day of filing 485 and wait to either get GC or to get an RFE.
Some people dont want RFE at the time when PD is current for them and hence send out letter to USCIS about job change invoking AC21.
There is no right or wrong thing and one choses what he/she feels good about + whatever attorney suggests. You can decide for yourself what you want to do.

Checked with my company lawyer. According to them it is a separate document from marriage certificate.
I applied for GC only after getting married , so right from the beginning my passport etc has my wifes name in it. What caused this RFE still baffles me.
I am not sure how will I get this document sitting in USA within 2 weeks.
Is there any other alternative ? Has any one faced with this kind of RFE and has given
some substitute for "Memorandum of marriage"

Hello All,
Employer A filed my I-140 and it was approved. They refused to provide me the approval notice but provided me the receipt#.
Later I moved to company B. Now company B is starting my green card process.
They said I can port my priority date If I have the I-140 approval notice.
My questions are
1) Is it possible to request USCIS a duplicate copy of my I-140 approval notice
using either g-639 (FOIA) or I-824 (Action on an approved application or petition) or any other method as I have my receipt#?
2) I don't know whether or not employer A revoked my I-140. Can I used it

i am not sure what it is about the 300d or known by most as the digital rebel that makes it not a good choice. i used and still use the digital rebel. i consider it to be worthy of professional status. it lacks a few capabilities but for studio work i still feel more comfortable with that camera and i must admit even though i have the rebel xt i have not used it near as much as the 300 d.
There are some things that make for example the 10D better than the 300D, but those are few - the one that made me spend the money on a 10D rather than the 300D is the fact that the 10D has the setting for following AF (aka predictive AF), whilst the 300D has a setting for "Let the camera choose if it's following or not" - which probably works fine for most purposes, but not ALL.
The metal frame of the body and faster/longer frame buffer on the 10D was also on the list of "pros", but not a "must have" in my choice.
The sensor is the same in 10D and 300D, and whilst the newer 350/400/20/30 etc have BETTER sensors, the 10D has one that works fine for me.

So, likewise, a professional photographer may well chose a less expensive camera because it does the job sufficently.

Beware of contractual agreements between your company and the end client. Normally they will have contrac that you will no join the vendor or client directly after the contract is terminated. You will be in legal problems. This is nothing to do with your GC.

Hello everyone,
Here is my status..someone please clarify as my immigration attorney has different answers each time
1) I am on H1B status and recently transfered to a new H1B Employer and i got query last week.
2) My Husband is holding a L1B Visa and its valid till Nov 2011.
3) Can i apply for L2 now(without COS) while waiting for H1B Approval?? This will allow me to change to L2 if something happens to H1.
4) If i have my H1B approval i wish to stay and work on H1B.if not i will be moving to L2(leave the country and comeback ??)

A friend of mine, with similar credentials like yours (from what i can get from your post) got his GC thru EB2-NIW. He didn't have to go through lengthy labor process. His lawyer recommended against filing for EB-1. Please contact a lawyer and hope for the best

Company A applied for my green card and I have an approved I-140, passed the 6 month mark and now planning to shift jobs on EAD. I have an offer from Company B with a condition that my offer would be permanent upon approval of my green card. I cannot work for company B till I physically have my GC. In the mean time can I work for Company C ( in a completely different field) till my GC gets approved without any issues?
I am sorry, I don't have answer for your question, but the AC21 cases getting denial will certainly effect you as you are planning to use AC21.
